ion MCT68ME series readers are access terminals designed to work in the RACS 5 access control system. The readers act as an auxiliary device for the access controller and cannot independently monitor the passage. MCT68ME terminals allow reading the serial number (CSN) of EM 125 kHz or Mifare® contactless cards. The readers are equipped with a set of input and output lines, which in most cases ensure full passage operation without using the inputs and outputs located on the access controller or expansion module. The reader provides three NO/NC input lines, two transistor outputs and one relay output. Each output can be turned off (so-called normal polarity) or turned on (so-called reverse polarity) in the idle state. Communication with the controller is via a modified RS485 standard, which allows creating star and tree wiring structures. The communication bus to which the reader is connected can be up to 1200 m long and can be made using any type of signal cable. The MCT68ME has a 4-line LCD display and a set of four programmable function keys, which include: can be used to select the RCP registration mode.
