Sealed, maintenance-free Ultracell USS series batteries is made using advanced AGM technology, in which the electrolyte is trapped in glass fiber separators with increased porosity. This eliminates the risk of leakage and allows the device to operate in any position. The battery also has self-sealing pressure valves (VRLA), which prevents the cells from being under too much pressure, protecting the casing from damage.
USS battery series from Ultracell (Great Britain), is designed for Start-Stop systems, used in modern cars, where the battery is needed to frequently start the ignition and provide energy to operate devices in "stop" mode. The battery is integrated with a sophisticated energy and battery management system.
The advanced AGM technology used in this series provides very high capacity and CCA (high cold cranking current), very good charge rate and much longer cycle life compared to conventional car batteries.
