Sealed, maintenance-free UL Series Ultracell Batteries, whose designed service life is 5 years, were made using AGM technology, in which the electrolyte was trapped in glass fiber separators with increased porosity. This eliminates the risk of leakage and allows the device to operate in any position. The battery also has self-sealing pressure valves (VRLA), which prevents the cells from being under too much pressure, protecting the casing from damage.
