PTF-1-EXT/PoE has 1 channel protection very effective, designed to prevent surges in LAN networks. Effectively protects devices installed in CCTV systems, such as IP cameras, LAN switches, radio bridges and NVR recorders. It includes protection for UTP/FTP Category 5 twisted pair cables, while maintaining the shield continuity of the RJ-45 socket. Recommended for the safety of video surveillance devices that are highly susceptible to surges and lightning discharges, especially those installed on metal poles, masts and metal building structures.
The Extreme Series is recommended for end devices that are particularly exposed to the effects of lightning discharges: cameras, radio bridges on masts and building roofs. For the Extreme Series to function properly, the devices must be fully grounded.

To meet all the connection requirements of the device, a PE conductor of the device or the electrical installation is required. It is not recommended to connect the device grounding conductor to the building's lightning protection system.

It is important that the discharge can appear from any direction, the path the charge takes can take a long time. To increase the effectiveness of the protection, it is recommended to use surge protectors at both ends of the cable.
